Thanksgiving/Hospital Visit

I came home for Thanksgiving with a nifty new rented lens and got some pretty good shots, then I broke my ankle and was trapped in a hospital room for a week with my camera, resulting in some creative shots due to my limitations.

Adventures in Public Transit

While doing some on location photography for my paper at various transit stations in Toronto, I took some time out to get a variety of personal shots. I got a lot of weird looks, wasn't exactly ecstatic about having my camera out in a place like that.

The Wildlife Preserve

A visit to the local conservation has convinced me the swan is the funniest animal alive and you don't need a telephoto all the time to do nature work if you're not afraid to get your hands dirty. A great time.

9/31/08 - Nightlife

A wonderful night to take pointless pictures and discover why I should not be using a UV filter at night, or in any pitch-black environment for that matter. While it may not be apparent in alot of the photos, I had to photoshop many of these to get rid of annoying lens flare caused by bright lights from cars/street lights that were created by the UV Filter on my lens.

In any case, to start off, my first photo is ironically my main motivation for going out in the first place in the middle of the night, seeing this perfect formation of symmetrical figures and lighting in the night while driving home, I could not resist but go out and shoot it:
